THE POSITION

The Hiram G. Andrews Center (HGAC) is seeking a professional and hard working individual to perform timekeeping duties and clerical support duties for HGAC Human Resources Department and the office of the Deputy Director.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs timekeeping duties for all staff. Serves as Timekeeper Liaison with Time Administration staff. Inputs leave usage, work schedules, work schedule changes, paid office closings and payroll data into the system. Addresses timekeeping problems/errors/discrepancies. Responds to staff payroll inquiries. Requests payroll advances. Maintains knowledge of collective bargaining agreements as they apply to leave usage, overtime, working out-of-class, etc.

This position maintains staff complement and list of vacancies. Maintains database of current employee information, including emergency phone numbers. Types interview questions. Performs reference checks on selected candidates. Forwards hiring documentation to appropriate EEO/EBR parties. Prepares and sends letters to candidates. Prepares HGAC orientation packet and schedule for all new employees, transfers, etc. Maintains list of "essential staff" designation and notifies employee. Maintains logs of all HR activities.

Qualifications:


  • You must have successfully examined and have a current score on file. If you have not already done so, you must first apply to the CLERK TYPIST 3 (EXAM) posting and follow the directions provided.
